Lalita (Lita) is Executive Advisor, Global Center of Excellence for the Executive Search & Leadership Consulting practice area within the Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG). She has more than 30 years experience in the area of talent acquisition and management. Lita is a prominent member of the talent solutions and HR consulting profession having been a pioneer of this industry in Asia.
Lita started Business Trends at the age of 20 in 1979. She expanded the business with her innovative solutions and approach to the business and was recognized when she became one of the finalists of the first Singapore Woman Entrepreneur Award.
Kelly Services Inc, a leading global provider of staffing services, acquired Business Trends which had 17 offices in Asia in 2000. Kelly Outsourcing and Consulting Group is part of Kelly Services, which is present in 37 countries and territories worldwide. Kelly OCG offers customizable outsourcing and consulting services and is made up of six business units including business process outsourcing, recruitment process outsourcing, vendor management solutions, HR consulting, outplacements & career transitions and executive search services (BTI Consultants).
Lita is active in raising the bar within the Human Resources community in Asia. She was instrumental in setting up the Association of Employment Services in Singapore. In addition, she introduced an industry code of ethics and worked closely with other similar organisations in Australia and U.S. She was the founder President of the Association on Employment services for a number of years. She also brought the IPCA certification for consultants into Singapore.
An entrepreneur at heart, Lita also started a technology company in 2000 as well as a trading business in Australia dealing with planet friendly products. She did this very successfully before she returned to Kelly Services to assist with its growth in the region.
Lita was on the Board of Governors with the Marketing Institute of Singapore and has been a Mentor with the Singapore Youth Council. She was President of the Singapore Professional and Business Women’s’ association, She also held several executive portfolios within Women for Women and was also a member of the International Women’s’ Foundation of Singapore. She was an invited speaker at UNIDO’s (United Nations’ Industrial Development Organisation) forums on building a sustainable society in Bangkok, Thailand, Japan and Nepal.
Lita was identified by the media as one of the 10 women who can make a difference in politics in Singapore. She has also been featured in many articles and TV programs such as “At Home with” and “Business in Asia”. Lita is a frequent speaker on topics relating to business and career strategies and she has addressed various institutions including Nanyang Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, the National University of Singapore and the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
Lita holds an MBA in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull, U.K. She is also a Certified Personal Consultant and holds a Chartered Institute of Marketing diploma from U.K. (CIM). She is a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and was instrumental in bringing NLP to Singapore. Lita is also trained in Thought Field Therapy (TFT). She is also a talented artist whose latest passion is to paint in order to raise funds and awareness for projects involving street children.
